The CNC machine was designed in Solidworks, and it is conceived from designs seen on cnczone. I took a simple approach to the design, trying to make it rigid enough that I will also be able to machine light aluminum and maybe even brass. A VFD spindle has been incorporated onto the machine as you can see, and I will have more pictures and videos of that as well.

In the mean time, there are a couple of videos showing it in action here (links below on youtube), and also some more pictures of it (in the galleries). You can also see pictures of the new controller I build, based on Keling drivers, steppers and a power supply. As you can see, I still have some videos of my old machine, for sentimental reasons (on my channel)! :-) (Note: Keling is now automation technologies, and they have expanded their product line. They are GREAT! ).

I might at a later date, put together a set of videos on it's construction, and include all the plans, so if anyone wants to build one they can. In addition, I have been asked by many to create some "setup-up" videos that show the machining process, indexing, how you flip a part over, and the overall machining process. I am working on that first, and should have more information to follow soon. Challange is that I have way too many things to do, and have very little time....:-)

Thanks for your interest and for your visit to the site. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions, or should you need more information on something. Also, I get asked all the time about skills required to build something like this. My answer is "basic." If you are good with your hands, and know a little something about electronics, YOU CAN build something like this, and hopefully, I will have a process to help you out soon!

More to come soon, as I get more videos going. I am also planning the installation of a DRO, just for laughs and giggles, and hopefully that will be done soon.
